A Tremendously Sad Day.

I am still in complete disbelief that I am having to write this right now. I have had the pleasure of working with a group of wonderful advocates over the last few months that have worked tirelessly to save as many dogs off the euthanasia list from DeKalb County and Fulton County Animal Services. Together, we have rescued tons of dogs. Today, our worst nightmare happened:

We were informed about a rescue called Arcadia that was a rehabilitation rescue for urgent dogs. We raised money to send a lot of the dogs we pulled from the e-list to this “rescue” to give them a better chance at finding a forever home. Today, we got the news that the woman who runs Arcadia was arrested for abusing over 2 dozen dogs at her “rescue” — some of the dogs being our foster dogs and dogs we have personally pulled from the e-list. These dogs we abused, neglected, and starved. They are in absolutely terrible condition. We are at a loss of words. We feel hopeless and broken.

We are asking for endless amounts of prayers and as much help as we can get.
